Maryborough Today Bundaberg Six Years Ago Today
Happy Birthday Bundaberg – Welcome Maryborough
Maryborough Opens on the 6 year anniversary of our Bundaberg Store
6 years ago today we opened our doors for the very first time, down a little arcade at the ‘quiet end’ of town. It was Wednesday the 28th December 2011.
Today, quite by accident on Wednesday the 28th December 2018 we opened the doors to our second store in Maryborough.
We were meant to open a few weeks back but as things go, we didn’t quite make it and I’m quite sure it was meant to be. Today has go
ne really well with the team serving up over 100 coffees to the City of Maryborough.
Maryborough has been super patient with us while we’ve gone about transforming the former Pawn Broker shop into a beautiful space for people to come and meet and relax. To catch up with old friends, and to make some new ones. And last but not least to enjoy some great coffee and delicious food.
Our team is very excited about our future in Maryborough, and what we can bring to the community. Alowishus Delicious exists to be a place for people to meet and develop meaningful relationships and to grow in the community. We are eager to get to know the people of Maryborough and develop and grow.
Community Based
Just today I received a letter from the Mayor’s office in Bundaberg, letting us know that Alowishus Delicious will be awarded the “Australia Day 2017 – Business Spirit Award”. This award is in recognition of outstanding achievements by an individual or a business that has made a significant contribution to the development of the region’s economy. We are very excited to be receiving this award.
Buying and using local produce is a key criterion of our menu at Alowishus, so we are currently looking for local growers of fresh produce. If you know people please ask them to email [email protected]
We are also looking for a community group to partner with to roll out our Pay It Forward Program and you can read more information here:

Visit Impact Community Services website to read a little more about what we are doing in the community

Along with this we are chasing a contact within the community who works with young children. Maybe someone from the children’s ward at a hospital or a specialist program working with children. We donate the sales from all our baby chinos to the Children’s Ward at the Bundaberg Base Hospital and would like to do something similar in Maryborough.
You can read more about the organisations we support here:

So a big thanks to Maryborough for making us feel so welcome.
Blessings
